makeRenderCommandEncoder(descriptor:)

Creates an object to encode a rendering pass into the command buffer.

Parameters

renderPassDescriptor

A collection of attachments and associated state for the render pass.

Return Value

A graphics rendering command encoder object.

Discussion

A MTLRenderCommandEncoder object provides methods to set up and perform a single graphics rendering pass.

After the command buffer creates this render command encoder, you can’t create other command encoders for this command buffer until you call the endEncoding() method of the MTLRenderCommandEncoder object.
