blitCommandEncoder

Creates an object to encode a block information transfer (blit) pass into the command buffer.

Required.

Return Value

A blit command encoder object.

Discussion

A MTLBlitCommandEncoder object provides methods for fixed-function memory copies, texture copies, and mipmap generation, on the device.

After the command buffer creates this blit command encoder, you can’t create other command encoders for this command buffer until you call the endEncoding method of the MTLBlitCommandEncoder object.
