Finder sync not access to DB of app

Hi,

I am trying to read the database of the main app with the finder sync extension in read only.

I have this exception when I execute the method executeFetchRequest :

2015-09-07 16:54:27.969 finder_sync[1587:52833] An uncaught exception was raised

2015-09-07 16:54:27.970 finder_sync[1587:52833] *** -[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:]: incomprehensible archive (0x49, 0x44, 0x2d, 0x4f, 0x43, 0x43, 0x2d, 0x31)

The SQL file is shared between the app and the extension (using app groups).

I have the same error event after physically deleting the database and recreating it from the main app.

I am using XCode 6.4 and macos 10.10.5.

Can you help me please.

I dont know about the specific error there but are you sure you have access to the db's folder path -- the Group Container/<...> folder path?

Try and write something else to that folder or read from a file placed there.

Hi EoinN,

I have the same issue, could you help me please?

I have a main app including some badge images, and then create a FinderSync extension to the app.

I want to read the badge images from FinderSync extension.

What methods can reach the option?

Enable Sandbox App Group to share the badge images?

And, may I get the bundle of the main app from FinderSync?

I am using XCode 7.1 and macos 10.11.1.
