Automatic SMS data transmission in the backgrounf for GPS Emergency Call App

Our GPS emergency call app should send alert data automatically per SMS to the predefined alert receivers if no internet connection is available. As the MFMessageComposeViewController has to be opened. For the usability of the emergency call app and the security of the sending person it is important to send data in the background without any activity of the user.

There’s no question here. Did you mean to file an enhancement request for the functionality you want?

Is it possible to send SMS automatically in the background, containing data from the internal memory, without activity of the user, if no internet connection is available?

This well be necessary in the case of alert button activation.

No it is not possible.

Your app can communicate with a server, and that server could initiate an SMS through some third party service (a telco's email-to-SMS gateway for example) but no, you cannot send an SMS direct from the device without the user's approval.

You can't send in the background. You can't send if no connection. You can't send without user interaction.

Not sure of your goal, but you may want to look at something other than a consumer level cellphone to get there.

Good luck.
