iPad Pro with Launch File Incorrect Screen Size Reported Only on Some Devices

Hi,

We have an app with a very large number of users that we've optimized for the iPad Pro by including a Launch Screen Storyboard as the Launch File, and built it against the latest iOS (9.3). This storyboard was created through xCode by creating a Launch Screen from the New File Template menu and it is correctly set as the Launch screen interface file base name in the Info.plist, and shows correctly in the Project settings. This correctly enables the native iPad Pro screen resolution (1024x1366) on the various iPad Pro's we have tested with and for the majority of our customers. However, a small percentage of our customers with iPad Pro's have devices that report the standard iPad screen resolution (768x1024) for the same app binary, and the app is scaled rather than using the native resolution that should be enabled by specifying the Launch file.

Since this works correctly on the majority of devices and it is our understanding that this screen size determination is made by iOS when launching the app based on the Launch File, we are unsure what to do about the small percentage of iPad Pro's where this issue occurs. Is there anything else we might need to do to ensure it consistently returns the 1024x1366 resolution across all devices? Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
