I dragged two of my version 2.0 custom symbols into the Custom Symbols directory in the Library of SF Symbols 3 Beta. The first symbol was fine. The second symbol caused the app to crash. Now it crashes every time I tap Custom Symbols.
I tried deleting the app and reinstalling but the crash continues to happen. Is there something else I need to delete to get it to work again?
Fixed it. I deleted the contents of Custom Symbols at /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/com.apple.SFSymbols/SF Symbols Library.sfsymbolslibrary/Custom Symbols.

Happened for me too, thanks for the pointer to the custom symbols directory. I filed a Feedback Assistant request. I am wondering what about my custom symbol template caused this crash? Did I do something wrong or is it just a bug?
Most of my crashes have been from symbols I made last year in Illustrator with the 2.0 template where I only provided the Regular-S, Regular-M and Regular-L variants.
I have also had a few crashes after modifying symbols in Sketch using a 3.0 variable template.

Add a CommentI have run into the same problem but I don't see the same folder. Instead I see: /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/com.apple.TCC There is no Custom Symbols folder in that path.
