Cannot configure Sign in with Apple – Save fails with 501 Not Implemented

Hello,

I am unable to configure Sign in with Apple on my developer account.

Whenever I try to:

Enable/disable the Sign in with Apple capability in my App ID, or

Configure a Service ID for web authentication,

the portal does not save my changes.

In the browser developer console, I consistently see this error:

Request URL: https://developer.apple.com/services-account/v1/bundleIds/XXXXXXXX Request Method: PATCH Status Code: 501 Not Implemented

This happens across all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Incognito) and even after clearing cache. It affects my entire account, not just one App ID.

I have already tried:

Creating a new Service ID → still fails.

Creating a new App ID → still fails.

Re-enabling the capability → save does not work.

Different browsers and devices → same result.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there a known fix? Or is this something that Apple Developer Support needs to resolve at the account level?

I’m experiencing the same issue: a 501 error when trying to update any capability on an App ID.

So far, the only workaround I've found is to select the desired capabilities when creating the App ID, since the site makes a POST request instead of a PATCH.

Unfortunately, this isn’t ideal for apps that are already published on the App Store 🥲

I’m facing the same issue when trying to add Website URLs for Sign in with Apple under a Service ID. Each time I try to save, I receive the following error in the network logs:

Request URL: https://developer.apple.com/services-account/v1/bundleIds/********* Request Method: PATCH Status Code: 501 Not Implemented Referrer Policy: strict-origin-when-cross-origin

And on screen:

Unsupported Request PATCH to http://developer.apple.com/services-account/v1/bundleIds/********* not supported. Reference #8.e0e1502.1756116573.39d998e

It looks like the portal is rejecting the PATCH request when saving Website URLs.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or is there a workaround to successfully save the configuration?

For anyone facing this issue, try performing the actions using Tor Browser. Make sure you're connected to the Tor network, that's what worked for me.

I noticed that works if you use another network , for example cellphone network.
