Liquid Glass nav buttons flash

Good morning!

Our app uses a dark color scheme regardless of light/dark mode. One issue we’ve had with Liquid Glass has been that buttons in the nav bar do an animation when views are pushed or popped, and the Liquid Glass elements appear to flash during those animations.

Are you aware of this behavior? Is there a solution? I suspect that the buttons are mixing in some white even though our background is near black.

With the 27.0 releases it should flash a lot less and mostly stay in dark mode (for your case). So, please try it out on 27.0 to see if this helps. There's no mechanism to disable the adaptivity. If you haven't already please submit feedback via the Feedback Assistant app (ideally with sample code) and let me know the FB #.

Will do, thanks.

let me point out, though, that this is exactly the sort of thing that makes adopting new technologies really difficult.

By policy, we support the current major iOS release and the prior major release. So a fix that exists in 27 won’t help any users running 26, and they will have a bad experience that makes us look unprofessional.

Completely understand the predicament and I wish we had an API for you for 26.0 but unfortunately we don't.
