My first-ever notarization submission on this developer account has been stuck in “In Progress” since it was submitted, with no result and no log available.

for anyone who finds this thread later with the same problem.

The submission cleared to Accepted at roughly the 37-hour mark, with no resubmission and no intervention needed. So for future first-timers searching this: the 24–36 hour extended vetting on a first Developer ID submission is real, it does simply clear on its own, and the standard advice holds — do not resubmit while you wait, and check status with xcrun notarytool info.

Quinn — thank you for the reply and the resources link. As a first-time submitter it's genuinely reassuring to have staff eyes on the thread. Subsequent submissions are now completing in minutes, exactly as documented.

You can expect that most uploads will be notarised quickly. Occasionally, some uploads are held for additional analysis and may take longer to complete. As you notarise your apps, the system will learn how to recognise them, and you should see fewer delays.
