Hi!
I'm trying to enable a view of the entire globe using MapKit and Swift but all I get is a 2d map that can't be zoomed out beyond a certain point. I can see that the Maps application on the iPhone has this feature and I'm guessing it should be possible to achieve using MapKit as well. Or am I wrong?
This view is not available through MapKit.
Look at the open source WhirlyGlobe SDK.

I need to correct my previous answer. The globe view is available through either the Satellite Flyover or the Hybrid Flyover map types.
