This is very similar to this question, so much so that the answer (use Polygon modelling) is basicallhy the same:

The best polygon modeller is probably 3ds Max... but some caveats:
1. It's expensive (full 30 day trial and student pricing, though)
2. Windows only
3. Learning curve is a bit steep
Next best (and some might argue it's better, but I won't) is Maya. This is also available on Mac, as well as Windows. Maya learning curve is a also steep, though it doesn't have a Modifier Stack to get your head around, so some people find it a little easier.
Next up is probably MODO. This is designed to be easier to use. If it is, it's 10% easier, at best. I think you're better off learning one of the above as this isn't as full featured as the above two, but you don't gain any performance or productivity advaantages, and it's not measurably easier to learn or use.
For primitive (and early) use of 3D with Polygons, Cinema 4D is enough to get you going, and a version of this comes with an AE subscription. Probably the most compelling part of using AE these days is using C4D, as it's affectionality known. But it's an odd starting point because it's idiosyncratic in ways that make it much harder to go learn a really good 3D modeller later.
Last, and least, is Blender, as Jessy recommends. This is the most difficult to use, the most brittle in operation, and almost bereft of design. It's a UI nightmare. Perhpas it was the inspiration for Apple Music. Yes, it's really that bad. No, worse.
