I'd like to download and install an application from the Apple Appstore in the xcode iPhone simulator. But, I keep getting a "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid" when trying to navigate to the appstore.
Anyone know if/how I can install an application from the appstore in iphone simulator?
That isn't an authorized simulator function, as I recall.

To loosely imitate an app store install of your own app to your device, try doing one via ad-hoc.
There is no app store in the simulator and Safari cannot download apps anyway from the app store.
It can only provide a link to take iTunes to the app store or on device, the App Store app to said
link. That said, you can't run an app store ipa file in the simulator anyway.
You cannot.
