Can someone else try to duplicate this bug?

I recently installed Xcode 7 and immediately hit a wall. I cannot use text views any more. If I add a text view, and then delete the sample text, adding my own text, the app will freeze on the launch screen image when I build/run. I can do whatever I want to the storyboard and code, and even add a text view, but as soon as I delete the sample text and replace it with my own, all **** breaks loose and I get stuck on the launch screen every time.

Can somone else try to duplicate this scenario? I'd like to know if this is just my machine, or if it's a bug in 7.

El Capitan / Xcode 7.0.1 / Swift / Macbook Pro 13"

Thanks

Assuming this is contained to one project in particular, see if an option-clean build folder helps at all.

Sorry, I should have listed my attempts to resolve:

Delete derived data

Reset content and settings

Changed launch screen image source

Option Clean Build Folder

Change target to 8.4

Reinstalled Xcode

Reinstalled OSX

Banged my head against a padded wall 7 times

...no luck. I just repeated the issue on a separate machine with a new copy of Xcode 7, so it's definitely not just my machine. Weird. I submitted a bug report (ID# 22927064), but it would still be great to know if others are having this issue.

Ah...I see, thanks for the summary 🙂 But you left out chicken bones - did you toss chicken bones, fresh not frozen?

And yeah, sounds like a bug. Be sure to add your report # to your thread should a staffer try to follow up, etc.

Good luck in any case.
