I've done some research on this but haven't been able to come up with a solidifed answer. I currently have a camera extenstion that connects to the charger port (micro usb) of my iphone. The camera is a lens that allows me to take pictures on the iphone using this camera extension (attached to micro usb). What the camera does is that it allows me to take thermal imaging pictures with the camera extenstion on my iphone. I am also able to capture video.
After looking into this some have said that the device needs to be registered with apple itself.
Using the same theory as the little camera extention I have is it possible to tether a camera through the same micro usb port (charger) on the iphone? I've read extensively that tethering is not possible with the iphone but if this camera extension does it how are they able to achieve it?
