Sometimes it takes a long time for iCloud to begin syncing. Is there code I can use to cause iCloud to begin syncing when I want it to?
No. You can't trigger an iCloud sync via code.
You can only force a sync when you're debbuging on the simmulator by clicking on Debug/Trigger iCloud sync in the menu. But I guess that's not what you want.

Hi Dirk, are there options available now to trigger an iCloud sync via code? The new albums are not downloading to device automatically until I open the Photos app so need an option to force sync it from code.
