I'm testing my app and I don't want to upload to IConnect yet but I want to have my newest xcode app from my mac running on my Ipad2. Not on my MAc as a simulator for IPAD2. I did it with my Iphone app and was able to see my test many versions of the same Iphone app on my iphone prior to release. Is that possible? Configured for build as IPAD2; set for IOS 8.3 and running XCode 6.3.2. Any thoughts?? Answers?...thks
i need to see my newest app on my ipad2 not on a mac simulator using Xcode.
Its the same process as for an iPhone. Attach the iPad to your Mac, open xCode and your
project, select the iPad from the device drop down and click the run icon. If your iPad isn't
listed, make sure it is using a version of iOS that is equal to or above your lowest target
iOS version. If it hasn't yet been provisioned, you'll need to trust the computer from the
iPad, usually an alert will appear on the iPad screen asking that.
Nope didn't work. Both IOS versions correlate....For the life of me ???
I did as you said, But It didn't load on my physical device (Ipad) , just my xcode Mac simulator ...Thks tho...I wonder if its a bug or it needs a bug fix..
I'll try rebooting my Ipad...mayb???
Are you choosing a scheme or a device. These are very different things. In xCode there is a dual drop down, on the left
is the scheme, on the right, is the device. Click on the right drop down and select your connected iPad.
Hi again. yes, it was a problem with the build setting that i changed over and over signing out and in again over and over and until I finally signed out for the 10th time and back in again, then it worked. But I thank you very much for your insight and I still believe its a bug in the xcode..but never the less its working on my ipad. Whooohoo!!! mucho appreciado!!!
