Will FireWire Be Supported

There is currently no support in DriverKit for FireWire.

Will FireWire be added though as if not I actually will be stuck on current software! I need the FireWire as I do work in logging old videos for customers and my Sony Pro Deck is FireWire and I had to buy 2 Apple adaptors to get them to work on my Imac when I updated my Imac in 2018..

There’s a lot of devices that still use FireWire and work perfectly. If Apple can utilise Driverkit to enable FireWire devices on Monterey and Ventura, than these devices won’t have to go on the scrap heap. It makes good environmental sense for some developing time.
