Desired Outcome: The ability to wirelessly install .ipa applications built and hosted on my OS X Server on a local wireless network.
Current Status: I have a mac setup with Server 5.2 and Xcode 8. I have an itegration which takes all actions under Build Configuration including "Perform archive action" and "Create user-installable product". On a Mac, I can open the Xcode service web page (https://myHost.local), login, select an integration and download the ARCHIVE or PRODUCT. When selecting "PRODUCT" the .ipa is downloaded and can subsequently be installed via iTunes. On an iOS device, doing the same thing, I am given the options "PROFILE" and "INSTALL". My understanding is that tapping "PROFILE" will install the required provisioning profile and "INSTALL" will install the .ipa.
Issue: The issue is whenever either the "PROFILE" or the "INSTALL" buttons is tapped, the following error is displayed: "For security reasons, apps can only be installed when visiting your server through its canonical hostname (myHost)." However, while Safari can find and load https://myHost.local, trying to go to https://myHost always results in "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found."
So, how do I make my server "find-able", by iOS devices, at its canonical name (https://myHost) on my local wireless network? Alternatively, did I miss a step in setting this up or am I misunderstanding the intended functionality provided by Server 5.2?
