Is there an equivalent of nvidia-smi on the M1 so I can watch GPU memory usage, GPU utilization, and processes accessing the GPUs from the command line?

I'm not sure if GPU memory is the right concept anymore given UMA, so please correct me if I'm thinking about that one wrong.

Hi yaoshiang,

We have a number of tools to track GPU memory usage. This article describes some tools to monitor memory usage. There are also a number of links to some WWDC videos which demonstrate some of the Metal tools. This one, in particular, gives a pretty good overview of what's available. There are older videos, found under the Related Videos section at the bottom of that page, which demonstrate practical uses of debugging and profiling with the tools.
