Have you used just grasshopper without python?

I use grasshopper on a 2018 MacBook Pro and it’s super slow.

I want to get a 27” iMac and not sure if I should wait for the new M1 chip this spring or buy the intel one now.

Has anyone worked extensively with grasshopper using an M1 chip?
