Advanced Video Quality Tool (AVQT) Linux

Hi,

I see announcement of the availability of beta version of Advanced Video Quality Tool (AVQT) for Linux in wwdc2022. However I am unable to find the AVQT packages for Linux. The AVQT resource page seems to still point to the .dmg file which is for MacOS. Where can I find the Linux version of AVQT? Thanks

The beta version of AVQT for Linux will be available in a few weeks. I will update the post when it's available. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Hi, Any update, when will it be available? Thanks!

I want to thank Pranav Sodhani, Ahmed Badr and everyone involved for making this great tool. I realize it is currently designed for compression and scaling artifacts only. However it would be useful if it could also flag duplicated frames, which can happen for various reasons. If it could attempt to display the frame cadence that would also help. Many video QC issues involve those areas. Here is a Python script someone wrote that shows one possible method: https://github.com/ryanfox/retread

Thanks again for all the work that went into AVQT, and please do more tools like this.
