I want to know if there is a recommended frequency when requesting location data such as latitude, longitude, speed and altitude in an ios app using core location API.

No recommended frequency - that's not how it works.
You register for location updates, then your CLLocationManagerDelegate "didUpdateLocations" is called by the system, whenever the location has changed by a significant distance (which you can specify).
