Hotspot Helper Request no reply

Hi, I filled out an application for NEHotspotHelper Framework on February 21st and received a Follow-up code 819628994. However, I have not received any response yet. Therefore, I wrote another email to eskimo1 on March 28th, but still have not received a response. I don't know how to handle the situation next, and I don't know what to do to get a response.

Thanks for any help, Charles

You should have got an auto ACK explaining that I’m partially out of the office right now.

With regards your application, I’m not going to discuss that in this context. I’ll reply to your email in a few minutes.

I want to reiterate, for those following along at how, that the Hotspot Helper API is not a general purpose Wi-Fi management API. To quote the docs:

NEHotspotHelper is only useful for hotspot integration. There are both technical and business restrictions that prevent it from being used for other tasks, such as accessory integration or Wi-Fi based location.

where hotspot networks are defined as:

Wi-Fi networks where the user must interact with the network to gain access to the wider Internet

If you’re building a Wi-Fi based accessory there’s no point requesting this entitlement. You should be rejected and, even if you get approved, it’s unlikely that the Hotspot Helper API will actually help you.
