Anaconda distribution on Apple MacBook Pro with M2 Max

Following the instructions provided in the documentation page of Anaconda distribution (https://docs.anaconda.com/free/anaconda/install/mac-os/), I tried installing Anaconda (Anaconda3-2023.03-1-MacOSX-arm64.pkg). But the installer returned the following error massage,

The package is trying to install content to the system volume. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I need help installing this distribution. Please let me know if there are any separate instructions for installing this.

I recommend that you do what the message says, that is, contact the vendor. It sounds like their installer package hasn’t been updated to account for recent [1] changes in the macOS architecture which made the system volume read-only and cryptographically sealed.
