IOHIDPostEvent stopped working when display is a sleep

Hey


I'm using IOHIDPostEvent to skip tracks and it seems to working just fine when display is on, but if I put my display to sleep it stops working.

Turning display on again will make it work again without anything else.


I'm using macOS 10.12.4.
