Apple Wallet Pass Logo Not Showing on notification on iOS 18

I'm having trouble displaying the Apple Wallet pass logo on iOS 18 when a notification occurs. It works on iOS 17 but not on iOS 18 (tested on versions 18.1 and 18.3).

I ensured the Wallet pass icon sizes are correct:

icon.png → 29×29
icon@ 2x.png → 58×58
icon@ 3x.png → 87×87

Questions: Has Apple changed any requirements for displaying Wallet pass logos in iOS 18? Are there new size, format, or metadata constraints?

We tried changing the logo to 38*38 and it doesn’t seem to work.

Can you please advise ?

Hi @tapngo,

Thanks for the confirmation—I've let the Human Interface team know to update their guidance on the pass icon sizes. The expected sizing should still be 29x29, 58x58 for @2x, etc.

You provided an example of the Wallet notification in your case with DTS, as well as an example of your pass. I noticed your icons contain a white logo mark with a transparent background.

In the screenshot provided, the icon could be rendered correctly, but the background is changed to white—resulting in a white-on-white appearance. You may want to test with a different color for your logo mark, or provide an explicit background color (just to confirm this is indeed the issue).

Either way, once you confirm whether the icon is not displayed at all, or if the icon is rendered with an unexpected white background, please submit a report via Feedback Assistant and we'll take a closer look (as well as get the HIG updated with the correct icon sizes).

Once submitted, please reply here with the Feedback ID so I can escalate to the Wallet engineering team as well as the Human Interface team.
