xCode 16.2 (16C5032a): dev account cannot be saved

xCode 16.2 deletes the dev account ...

Steps:

  1. Open the xCode 16.2 (16C5032a)
  2. Open xCode -> Settings -> Accounts
  3. Make sure there are no accounts added
  4. Add some dev account using an AppleID
  5. Make sure the added account is presented in the accounts list
  6. Exit xCode and re-launch it
  7. Open xCode -> Settings -> Accounts
  8. Check the list of dev accounts ...

Actual results: The list of accounts is empty, and the "No accounts" text is presented.

Expected result: The previously added account is in service

Open the xCode 16.2 (16C5032a)

That build number shows you are using a a beta of Xcode 16.2. It was released out of beta on December 11, 2024, so you should upgrade to the release version, or move your use of a beta forward to Xcode 16.3 beta.
