How to make a hidden iCloud Container active again?

While experimenting with CloudKit dashboard, I accidentally turned off a iCloud container.

Now in the Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles section of developer portal, this iCloud container identifier is listed under "hidden" not "active"

I can edit its name but there is not way to unhide or active it again.

What am I missing?

You can manage the visibility of your CloudKit containers with CloudKit Console:

  1. Open CloudKit Console, and log in with the admin account of your your developer team.

  2. Choose the right team from the drop down list at the top-right corner, then click the CloudKit Database button. That brings you to the database view.

  3. At the top-left corner, find your CloudKit container, and click it to show the container list of your team.

  4. Find the Manage Containers button on the top of the list, then click it to show a model sheet, which allows you to turn on / off the visibility of a container there.

Yes, this is where I first turned off the visibility of the container. However I can't get back into the dashboard now because it thinks there are no container defined.

That sounds like a bug of CloudKit Console, and I’d suggest that you file a feedback report – If you do so, please share your report ID here for folks to track.

To work around the issue, did you try to create a new container, even though you don't use it, so the container list can show up and you can find the Manage Containers button?
