Text align UILabel to the center

Hi,

I have been trying to center align the text in UILabel and it didnt work. I tried text alignment and it didnt work.

self.statCountLabel.textAlignment = .center

self.statNameLabel.textAlignment = .center


I also tried Baseline: Align Centers and Alighment: Center in Storyboard and that didnt work. Am I missing something simple? or IOS Swift is this hard? Any help is greatly appreciated.
