why no "fold all" option?

why xcode has no option to fold all

In Editor > Code Folding

There is an option to Unfold All

why not making us able to fold all too

My understanding is it is because folding is multi level.

Unfold is easy: everything that was folded, whatever level, will unfold.

But folding all: what you you keep ? Just very top level, at class level, where you see nothing more ? At the first level func ?

So you should have to specify the level to make it any use.

So, imagine what should be the result of a fold all and you may find it is impracticable.

i mean like android studio

i think visual studio code does it too

-> fold all that can be folded

From what I read, looks like it starts by collapsing at the lowest level and to the next if you repeat. But I'm not using Studio, so that's just a guess.

In anywise, you could file a bug report asking for evolution.

in fact i don't want to ask for the option to be added

i was just hoping to know why the menu offers to unfold all, but not to fold all

but i'm not interested about getting explanations anymore

when i come on this forum, i'm always angry, i have difficulties remaining calm when using apple's products

so this thread was the last time i asked for explanations/info/help here

Because me being here, is more negative than productive, and I want to stop before getting banned etc
