Metal HUD Display Value Range

Can't seem to get the Metal HUD to display value range's (pre 26 Tahoe). The documented environment variable MTL_HUD_SHOW_VALUE_RANGE doesn't seem to work.

Anyone having any luck?

Hello,

Thank you for mentioning and clarifying macOS version 26.

I tried using MTL_HUD_SHOW_VALUE_RANGE and MTL_HUD_ENABLED with Xcode 26.0.1 on macOS 26.0 (25A354) and was likewise unable to see value ranges.

Please send us a bug report.

Note: you can see value ranges by enabling the Show Metrics Value Range option in the configuration panel (confirmed working).

Edit: "(MacOS 26 Tahoe)"

I have no idea why I wrote "pre 26 Tahoe" 🤷
