When I enter webp image to the assets catalog I get warrning: /Users/..../Assets.xcassets The image set "Card-Back" references a file "Card-Back.webp", but that file does not have a valid extension.
It works, I see all my images perfect. How can I fix the 200+ warrnings?
Update xcode for macOS 26, and it fixed the problem.
What version of Xcode are you using? I have 26.2 and still can’t add WebP assets.
i am using Xcode 26.5, and see the same problem. xcode displays the webp images just fine, but gives the error "The image set ... references a file ....webp, but that file does not have a valid extension."
