XCode 27.2 Beta / Claude Code - UI lockups

Has anyone notices persistent UI lockups when attempting to perform even the most basic tasks with Claude Code? I'm at a total loss here.

I've noticed that the lockups tend to happen more often when the Claude Agent is asking me a question. I've tried removing stale data, disconnecting / reconnected the agent, force quit and restart. Nothing solves this.

@jcaiphone2k18 Thank you for providing this and welcome to the wonderful coding life with Xcode. Give the team sometime to look over the sysdiagnose.

You can see the status of your feedback in Feedback Assistant. There, you can track if the report is still being investigated, has a potential identified fix, or has been resolved in another way. The status appears beside the label "Resolution." We're unable to share any updates on specific reports on the forums.

freeze seems to be tied to claudes use of the gh api command

Thanks for your post.

I personally have not seen that issue with Xcode 27.2 beta from September 16, 2026 Build 27B5019j. Do you have a sysdiagnose?

Do you see any difference instead of killing Xcode to kill the process?

pkill -f "claude-code|@anthropic-ai/claude-code"

Not sure this is the kill command for the process.

Have you filed a bug? Do you have a way to reproduce it or is it happening every single time?

If you have any questions about filing a bug report, take a look at Bug Reporting: How and Why?

I do not as of yet. I'm admittedly fairly new to coding with ex code and not sure how to obtain a sysdiagnose. I'm having to force quit XCode everytime this happens.

It seems to happen everytime Claude brings up a Q&A prompt as indicated in the attached screenshot.

Here is the Feedback ID which contains the sysdiagnose
