Fixed preset positions and playback controls without scrolling

Is there a supported CarPlay audio template configuration that keeps six—or ideally nine—preset buttons in fixed positions, with space reserved for transport controls, without introducing scrolling or moving or resizing the presets when playback controls appear?

I’ve attached a rough mockup of the proposed layout and a screenshot of our current implementation using CarPlay templates. The goal is to provide larger, more readable buttons in consistent locations across radio, podcast, and Apple Music playback. This enhancement request has also been submitted through Feedback Assistant: FB25114973.

To clarify the reasoning behind the mockup: larger buttons and clearer labels would make presets easier to read and locate. Showing all nine presets on one screen would also eliminate switching between preset pages. Most importantly, each preset would stay in exactly the same position when radio, podcast, or Apple Music controls appear. Users could learn their favorite presets’ locations without repeatedly reading labels, searching another page, or finding a button again after it shifts. Our interaction is simple: tap a preset to play, and tap it again to stop. The proposed layout aims to preserve that simplicity while reducing scrolling, visual searching, and unnecessary interactions for drivers.
