I am attempting to learn Core Data programming and am using a tutorial from an eBook. I am getting some Runtime crashes (prior to the app displays), and I've tried valiantly to run a Clean Build but I haven't got the hang of it yet (my background is Microsoft and Unix not macOS) I know about Shift-Command-K and even Option-Shift-Command-K, but that doesn't clean up the Simulators properly. I've searched numerous locations both in Apple and from Google, but I'm not satisfied I am seeing correct UP-TO-DATE directions, for cleaning up the DerivedData and Simulators...primarily because the directions lead to a slightly different location on where things are.
For my Apple programming education, could someone please describe exactly the correct way to delete DerivedData and Simulator data? When I say "exactly", I'm looking for something like press Option, then in Finder press Go > Library ... and so on. The directory structure I'm seeing and the directory structure in the sparse directions I've seen DO NOT MATCH and I don't want to make a bad mistake.
I will then attempt the build again (after proper Cleans).
Thank you for relaying the correct procedure for Cleaning DerivedData and Simulator data (for both macOS and iOS projects).
