The new Apple TV 4K and tvOS 11 now supports switching between different video modes (Settings > Video and Audio). Is there a way to switch between these modes programmatically?
Most new smart TVs switch between HDR/SDR automatically depending on the content so it would be good if we could switch, for example, to 24Hz SDR 1080p mode if that's what the video content is, or 4K HDR 24Hz if it's a 4K content. And if no video is playing, keep the Apple TV running at 60Hz to keep the UI interactions nice and smooth.
