Can a developer access the dot projector and other hardware used by faceid in order to scan objects?

iOS supports two different dot projectors:

The TrueDepth camera used by Face ID

The LiDAR scanner
I’m not an expert on either. However, I recently bumped into the Streaming Depth Data from the TrueDepth Camera sample code, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t post that here.
