Xcode 9.0.1 Sticker Pack Simulator problem

Xcode 9.0.1 the Simulators CRASH with Successful Builds of Sticker Pack Apps for iMessages.

Previous Xcode 9.0 also has serious issue with Simulators used for stand alone Sticker Packs. Problem with rounding the sticker images (system masking) to get accurate screenshots for submission of Sticker Pack App to App Review. Xcode v. 9.0 'seed' the Simulators initially worked but with very limited memory which also caused crashes, but later failed to round Stickers with system masking, AFTER release of iOS 11).

Anybody else having these problems trying to get valid screenshots for Sticker Packs?

Thank you Jeremy, for alerting me to the workaround which I missed in the release notes. For others who are having the same problem it's an easy fix:

"The best workaround for this issue is to have the dev launch once via Xcode, have MobileSMS crash, then launch again and manually enable the app."

To find the App, click on the ellipisis (...) and even if you see nothing, click EDIT and then you will find the App. Slide to 'On' position and click done. Then the app will appear properly in the siumlation.

You guys are awesome - a huge help to those of us who are graphic designers (not coders) working on Sticker Packs. We appreciate your time and your help.

Thanks for the radar, but can you please provide some more data. I haven't seen any radars during Xcode 9 betas or after GM related to sticker packs (that doesn't mean there are any, just none that I've seen).

When filing a radar about a crash, please include the actual crash reports.

When filing a radar about an issue in the simulator, please include a `xcrun simctl diagnose` tarball (collected while the device is booted after reproducing the issue).

For pretty much any radar, it's useful if you can include a `sudo sysdiagnose -q` tarball. Note that this will also collect the crash logs for you.

Also, what do you mean by "Simulators initially worked but with very limited memory which also caused crashes" ... that doesn't make sense to me.

From your description in the radar, it sounds like it's your app extension that is crashing. Have you located the crash logs? Please provide them in the radar (or even here) if you want help...

I provided screenshots of the crash report in the bug Report and assume that all of the several crash reports I encountered earlier today were sent to Apple.

In that I was using the Xcode Sticker Pack template to create this Sticker Pack App, I have no idea what a `xcrun simctl diagnose` tarball or a `sudo sysdiagnose -q` tarballis are. Also, I am attempting to use the Simulators to take screenshots for submission to App review, so there are NO plugged in devices. My iPad is too old to upgrade beyond iOS 9 so I have been using the simulators to create screenshots (successful until recently).

I just tried again, resulting in another crash of the iPhone 6 Plus Simulator in Xcode 9.0.1, so I copied the entire text of the report and saved it to a .txt file. Don't know how to save a crash report from the actual report, or using Xcode. Please explain how to do that, or should I just copy and paste the entire report to a reply on this forum? I can also add the contents of the most recent report to the Bug Report.

Thanks for your willingness to help.

Limited memory issues encountered when Xcode (beta) 9 was first introduced. Simulator ran well for the frist one or two App builds, but then choked for lack of memory (there is ample memory on my MBPro) in the simulator, until I cleared the contents of the simulator. Then it worked OK. I probably have some screenshots for that issue which is not related to current problems.

No, I don't know how to locate or save the crash logs.

I just uploaded a text file duplicating the crash information to Bug Report - https://bugreport.apple.com/web/?problemID=35053675

Please be aware this is a Sticker Pack App (NO coding involved) project with Automatic Signing and Xcode management.

Hope this is what you are needing.
