Works with Apple Health
The Works with Apple Health badge is used to visually communicate your app’s compatibility with the Apple Health app on iPhone. Download the badge artwork and follow the guidelines when using the badge in your communications.
The Works with Apple Health Badge
The Works with Apple Health badge should be used when communicating your HealthKit-enabled app’s compatibility with the Apple Health app. It can be used on websites, emails, guides, and other promotions and communications related to the app.
Badge Artwork
The Works with Apple Health badge is available in white with an outline rule. Other color options are not available. Don’t alter the artwork in any way except to change its size to fit your layout.
Localization
The badge is available in English and Canadian French. The Canadian French version of the badge is for use in Canada wherever French language communications are required. Use only the artwork provided by Apple and do not create your own localized version of the badge.
Background Color
The badge can appear on black or other color backgrounds and on photographic backgrounds as long as it is clearly legible against the background.
Clear Space
The minimum height for a Works with Apple Health badge is 10 mm on printed communications and 30 pixels for onscreen use. The minimum clear space around the badge is equal to one-quarter the height of the badge. Do not place graphics, type, photographs, or illustrations inside the clear space area.
Apple Health App Icon
You can use the Apple Health app icon in your app user interface for HealthKit-enabled apps. Learn more and download the icon artwork by visiting the Human Interface Guidelines.
Using the Badge in Your Content
Use the Works with Apple Health badge on each app-related communication, such as advertising, webpage, and email. Place the badge in a subordinate position on the layout following your main message. The badge should be smaller than your identity or main message.
Web Page
Use the Works with Apple Health badge in association with the approved app. Do not use the badge on general information or company pages, such as an “About Us” page.
Social Media
Do not use the Works with Apple Health badge or Apple product images in social media promotions, including social media pages, tweets, or sites. Instead, describe your product benefits and Apple Health features in text. Do not create graphics, logotypes, or graphic renderings to represent the Apple Health app. Do not create a hashtag that includes the name Apple, Apple Health, or any Apple trademark.
Marketing Communications
In advertising, use the Works with Apple Health badge only in association with communications related to the approved app, such as newsletters and other app-related communications. Include a description of the Apple Health app features and benefits.

Dos and Don’ts
Do
- The Works with Apple Health badge can be used on advertising and promotions related to the approved app.
- Use only one Works with Apple Health badge on each promotion, such as advertising, web pages, and email promotions.
- Place the badge in a subordinate position on the layout following your main message. The badge should be smaller than your identity or main message.
- Whenever space allows, the badge should be accompanied by text that describes the benefits and features of the Health app. See “Editorial Guidelines.”
- Whenever applicable, include privacy messaging. See “Editorial Guidelines.”
- Use only current badge artwork provided by Apple without modification.
Don’t
- Do not use the badge if your media cannot reproduce the badge artwork clearly and at high resolution.
- Do not use the badge on general company communications. It must be used only in connection with the approved app.
- Do not use the Apple logo on its own or in conjunction with a Works with Apple Health badge.
- Do not use the badge on hardware product packaging.
- Do not animate, rotate, or tilt the badge.
- Do not alter the badge artwork in any way.
- Do not translate or localize the type within the badge.
- Do not render the badge artwork to look 3D.
- Do not add effects such as reflections, shadows, or glows around the badge.
- Do not add a trademark symbol (™) or registered trademark symbol (®) to the badge.
Editorial Guidelines
Messaging that describes compatibility with Apple Health can be used in communications promoting your app. Messaging can be placed near the Works with Apple Health badge, or it can be used in general product communications. In headlines and copy, you can use iPhone and the Apple Health app to describe the benefits for your customers.

Long Version
Using <app name> with the Apple Health app on iPhone empowers you to better manage your health. You will see a consolidated view of all your health data, including data from <app name>, so you can track your progress in one convenient place.
Using the name Health or Apple Health
You can refer to the Apple Health app or the Health app from Apple. After first mention, Health app can be used. Apple is typeset with an uppercase A followed by lowercase letters. Typeset Health with an uppercase H followed by lowercase letters.
Do not refer to Apple Health data. Health data belongs to the user, not Apple.
In communications distributed only in the United States, the appropriate symbol (™, ℠, or ®) must follow each Apple trademark the first time it is mentioned in body copy.
Privacy Messaging
The Apple Health app offers important privacy controls. Use this suggested message:
Your [weight, blood pressure, fitness] data is kept secure in the Apple Health app because it is encrypted and protected with the passcode on your iPhone.
Media Guidance
Use the opportunity to highlight the benefits of this functionality to your industry and company, and why you’re excited to bring this new experience to your users.
Refrain from discussing the details of your relationship with Apple or any behind-the-scenes information about the process.
Share any press materials for review with Apple at least two weeks prior to issue.
Advise Apple on all incoming press inquiries and have the reporters reach out to Apple directly for commentary and additional information about the technology.
Do not speak on behalf of Apple or its products.
Legal Requirements
The Works with Apple Health badge and Apple Health app icon described in these guidelines cannot be used in any manner that falsely suggests an association with Apple or is likely to reduce, diminish, or damage the goodwill, value, or reputation associated with Apple products or Apple itself. Use of the Works with Apple Health badge is only permitted in connection with the availability and access of health data through the Apple Health app.
Trademark Symbols and Credit Lines
Do not add a trademark symbol to the Works with Apple Health badge artwork provided by Apple.
In communications distributed in all regions except Japan, the following credit lines must be included, listing only the Apple trademarks used in your copy. For example:
Apple, the Apple logo, and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

In communications distributed only in the United States, the appropriate symbol (™, ℠, or ®) must follow each Apple trademark the first time it is mentioned in body copy — for example:

Refer to the Apple Trademark List for the correct trademark symbol.
Do not translate an Apple trademark. Apple trademarks must remain in English even when they appear within text in a language other than English.
For advertising, follow standard practices for the placement of legal copy, such as creating additional screens or providing interactive links to legal copy.
With Apple’s approval, a translation of the legal notice and credit lines (but not the trademarks) can be used in materials distributed outside the United States.
