Complete the Digital Goods and Services questionnaire

The App Store empowers you to scale your app distribution worldwide using a variety of business models, including the sale of digital goods and services in your apps. Digital goods and services are content, features, subscriptions, and other digital experiences offered or consumed within an app. Complete the Digital Goods and Services questionnaire in App Store Connect to indicate how customers pay for or access digital goods and services in your app.

Completing this questionnaire helps ensure your app complies with the App Review Guidelines, Developer Program License Agreement, and helps you identify supported payment options for your customers.

Note: If this questionnaire doesn’t appear in App Store Connect for your app, no action is required.

Required role: Account Holder, Admin, or App Manager. View role permissions.

Indicate payment options

Indicate how customers consume and access digital goods and services in your app across regions. Digital goods and services are content, features, subscriptions, and other digital experiences offered or consumed within an app.

  1. From Apps, select your app.

  2. In the sidebar under General, click App Information.

  3. Scroll to the Digital Goods and Services in Your Apps section, then click Get Started.

  4. Answer the questions:

    • If you select No to “Can customers consume digital goods and services in this app?”, click Next.

    • If you select Yes, confirm whether your app uses Apple In-App Purchase exclusively, or select the available payment options (such as alternative payment processing or out-of-app offers) for each country or region where you offer digital goods and services. Then click Next.

  5. Confirm and save:

    • On the Confirmation page, take a moment to look over your answers and make any changes before submitting.

    • Click Save.

To edit your answers later, click Edit under Digital Goods and Services in Your App.

Note: After you submit this form, your choices for the European Union remain locked for 12 months and can’t be changed. If you have questions, contact us.
