Error -42716 and -42800

We have created a hls playback framework and lot of our client's are complaining about this error The operation couldn’t be completed. (CoreMediaErrorDomain error -42716.)

So -42716 is some kind of validation error. And -42800 is an expired persistent key.

  • We also occasionally get the error -42716 when playing Fairplay content. What exactly does validation error mean? Is it possible that the OS causes it?
