Thank you @sonalii. I did not find the double-click side button in "Wallet & Apple Pay", However googling about it I read about touch ID etc... So I tried with my laptop lid open and suddenly the dialog appeared as it should when I clicked  Pay. I just want to scream, I have bugged my teammates and tried for 2 days now. I always work with external monitor, it never occurred to me that it only works with laptop lid open!!! You can't imaging my frustration. Anyway, thank you for leading me indirectly to the right track. :) Have a nice day!
