Same issue here with an iPhone 13 running latest iOS16. Woke up to a dead iPhone that wouldn't boot. After a 20 hard resets (Volume Up, Volume Down, Power) it booted back up and the battery had charge. Should I attempt the upgrade again 16.0.2?
