My bug reports are being ignored, also my requests for status. What can I do?

I reported some macOS bugs which are being ignored since months. Also, when asking for a status, I am not getting any response.

Who can I contact regarding this?

You can only add additional information to your bug report, hoping it will move up the stack.

Not sure they are ignored. In many cases, I got a notice of duplicate bug report. Unfortunately, after this, no more information.

You could also post the bug report on openRadar, so nthat others can have a look at it.

Thanks for your response.

In my case, bugs weren't reported as duplicate or closed otherwise. They're just open and don't seem to be processed at all.

Thanks for the suggestion regarding OpenRadar, I didn't know that such thing exists.

Best regards

Hello bolandross,

Why do you care? If Apple thinks the bugs are worth fixing, then they will fix them. But you would have to have a significant bug and be extremely lucky to get them fixed within only a few months. If you are very lucky, then you might get a response in a couple of years asking if the bug is still a problem for you. If you were just normally lucky, then your bugs will closed as dups. But normally, bugs you write will just sit in radar forever with no updates, responses, or status changes. My oldest open bugs are from 2008.

Hey john daniel,

wow ... that's sad news Thanks for chiming in.

I care because some of these bugs affect my everyday work and make things harder and results unreliable for me.

Your answer helped me to adjust my expectations. For a long time I thought Apple would care. They managed to convince me otherwise.

Best regards
