Hi
I have submitted some problems here before but I have so many problems that I am wondering if it may be just my iMac, or maybe all or lots of other iMacs.
Problems I have
1. Playground wont launch. Just sits there saying 'running <name>. This has been the past week, prior to that it would sit there saying 'Launching simulator' for 5 minutes and then it would work
2. Xcode suddenly quits, randomly. Back in October-November it was quitting every ~45 minutes or so. Now it varies, sometimes couple of times a day, sometimes couple of times a week.
3. Xcode is slow to load. Can take up to 5 minutes. Especially annoying when it keeps quitting
4. Simulator fails to load on first attempt. Spends 5 minutes launching and then an error comes up, usually 'cant attach to pid', but sometimes 'timeout', or 1 or 2 other errors. After this first attempt the next launch works but it takes about 3-4 minutes, and then every run after that it gets quicker, but never less than 10-20 seconds. Of course if Xcode quits, then this cycle starts all over again - very painful.
5. Occassionaly I get the App id limit has been reached, even though I haven't come anywhere near the 10 apps in 7 days limit
I have submitted bug reports and tried all the fixes on the internet but nothing helps. I did see another person complain about "all the work iMacs having problems but the macbooks are OK". So I wonder if it is the iMac
I have been using Xcode for about 9 months, learning to code, but I am about to give up because it is impossible to use.
I use a standard late 2015 iMac, with virtually no extra software on it.
The computer is basically just used for email and my learning to code and the only problem is with xcode
Any others out there with multiple problems like these? If so, what computer are you using?
Thanks
Geoff
