Afternoon...


I've not been on here for a while, but today I've noticed this forum is pretty much unusable in iOS, on iPhone or iPad.


The header block is transparent and covers the top of the screen so you get words overlapping words.

I was getting some sort of "forbidden" error trying to post on my iphone.

If I scroll down on my iPad the screen starts jumping about as if I was dragging my finger all over the place.


Seems fine on my MacBook Pro though.

As KMT found out, it is likely a cache problem.


On MacOS, option-reload page clears the cache.


On IOS, look here on how to do it : h ttps://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265


Delete history, cache, and cookies

Here's how to clear information from your device:

  • To clear your history and cookies, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.
  • To clear your cookies and keep your history, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
  • To visit sites without leaving a history, turn private browsing on or off.

When there's no history or website data to clear, the setting turns gray. The setting might also be gray if parental controls are set for websites. To check your settings, go to Settings > General > Restrictions, scroll to Allowed Content, then tap Websites.

Which version of IOS ? I run 11.3 (15E216), and now it's back to old version of the forum.


Idem on my MBP 10.12.6


But I have not checked yet on iMac 10.13


May be it depends on OS version ?

Currently on 11.3, just about to update to 11.3.1. Will post again when it’s done. will try laptop now.

Looks OK now on iPhone and iPad after clearing the cache.

FYI: This issue is back on my iPhone and won’t go away. I’ve cleared all website data twice and rebooted the iPhone but it’s still happening.

I see the problem on iPhone (IOS 10.3), but not on iPad (11.3)


I cleared the cache on iPhone, without success !

A bit embarrassing for someone, an Apple forum that looks like garbage and doesn’t work properly on an Apple device.


My iPhone and iPad are both on 11.3.1 by the way. Looks ok on iPad but terrible on iPhone, as before.
