App Store Problem

I just received an email from a purchaser of my iPhone app noting that she really liked my app and had just added a five-star review. I searched for this review and it's nowhere to be seen on the app store.

I used to be able to search for iPhone apps on my Mac, but that is no longer possible thanks to the "improved" App Store. It used to also be possible to link to the app from a website with a "Buy now" link, but to my knowledge that is no longer possible either.

I find all of this infuriating. I spent over a year working on this app and now the app nor its reviews can be found.

Great job, Apple!

When you search on IOS device, do you find it ?

Yes, I can seach and find the app, but no review. I emailed back the person who purchased the app and asked her if she could send me her review and she kindly did. She did ask why I could not get it on my own, which I embarrassing tried to explain. Bottom line is that if she had not emailed me in the first place I would have never known I had received a review.

Getting back to your question - what is shown on my app page is: "This app hasn't received enough ratings or reviews to display a summary"

I know for a fact that back in 2011 when I first launched the app, the very first review appeared within days of launch. I know things have changed since the "old days" and there are millions more apps now, but I was exhilarated to receive my first review. But now Apple has apparently changed this policy as well which only makes selling an app more difficult.

I'm hoping that perhaps it just takes a few days or so for the review to appear. I will be more than happy to eat crow if this is the case. Quite honestly, I really have no idea when the user made the review.

I have no control over this, so I'll just hope for the best.

Thanks for hearing me out.
