Custom Colour for Status bar Text & Icons

But take care, it is undocumented API that may cause app rejection.

I don't want to change background colour... I want to change colour of icons & text to custom colour.

As you have read, there is no API to access those properties.

And I could not find a way to reference the status bar item in an IBOutlet.

All I can imagine, is overwriting your own content over the status bar (recreating yours), but there are serious drawbacks doing so.

I have recognised that Things App uses custom colour for Status bar texts & icons. I don't know how they do it!

Have you a link to show the status bar colored in Things App ?

I've juist been to their site, and I could not see any custom color for status bar.

I think we do not speak of the same thing when we speak of status bar.

I was mentioning the bar at the very top, with signal strandgth dots, with time, with battery level.

Here, in the example (

Headings

I do not see any colored font in IOS case.

So, which status bar are you speaking about ?

I am using things myself when I see signal strength dots, wifi icon, time and battery percentage has custom grey color and background is transperant.

You can notice the same in image in link given above.

unless you redraw yourself a status bar
