Hi,
I'm on watch os 5 beta 1 (16R5283r) and I cannot update to beta 2.
Firmware has been successfully uploaded to the watch, but everytime I try to install it fails the "verify" step telling me it's not possible because I'm not connected to the internet.
I tried to restore the watch, reboot watch+iphone (which is on ios 12 beta 2), remove / readd the profil, nothing changed.
I have this problem as well.
Exactly the same problem. Did already nearly all the same restart and reinstall process.
Impossible to go out of the « pause » mode, waiting the watch to to connected to WiFi
but it is already, same WiFi as the iPhone...
Had the same problem
Went to apple watch app on iPhone and unpaired my watch. Allowed it to complete.
Once the unpairing was complete, I paired it again and restored from backup and was able to update to b2

Tried that already, didn't work.
Last night I tried to unpair and pair again as a fresh device, the pairing failed twice (Apple logo on the watch in the middle of the pairing)...
Trying to pair again today, because watch is completely unusable right now.
We were always ****** by iTunes, having to use it to push a new firmware to our iDevices, but now I want it back for the watch 🙂
After a lot and a lot of retries (and many reboots of the iPhone and the watch), it finally passed!

I am having the same issue.
OK, it finally started automaticcaly by itself this afternoon, downloading the update on the phone, then waiting I let the watch on its charger. Everything allright and it even seems that the energy consumptionof the watch is much better than with beta 1.
I rebooted the iphone and apple watch to can update
Just turned the wi-fi assist off and booom the update started
Just turned the wi-fi assist off, wifi-assist switch can be found in "Settings" - "Cellular" - Score down the bottom. Truning off the "wifi-assist", you should get back to the watch app on your iphone then hit the update agian, it would be started
Tried turning off Wifi Assist, same issue, cannot update from watchOS 5 Developer Beta 1 to Beta 2. Error message states: "Unable to Verify Update...because you are not connected to the internet"
