Feedback: use better forum software

The forum software here isn't very good. Is it not obvious?

Attaching images doesn't work (it used to I think). Navigation is awkward. External links apparently aren't allowed, causing people to write "h ttp://" (why???). Search doesn't seem very good. Seems too easy to post in the wrong forum. Most questions go unanswered.

Bottom line: on average you'll have significantly better results posting on Stack Overflow than here.

My feedback for Apple is to switch to better forum software like Discourse.

Yes, as witnessed by a long litany of comments since it began.

White noise.

The lack of routine moderation and anyone being able to join in leads to a high borked signal-to-noise ratio. SO being an example of just the opposite.
